- ‘2059: The Gesture Simulator’

Wandering between our physical reality and the digital reality constructed by Artificial Intelligence, we are witnessing an uncertain future in which technology has been modifying our behaviours for an extended period.

Inspired by StyleGan, a ‘Gesture Simulator’ was built to showcase our concerns and question the possibility of behaving by watching recorded human gestures, while the computer imagined gestures could be observed.

- Audio Feng Shui Agency (AFSA): AFS-II Detector

Inspired by Janet Cardiff’s ‘The Missing Voice’, Audio Feng Shui Agency (AFSA) is a radical attempt to explore the potential values in a town’s regeneration project. By building a sound constructed semi-reality, AFSA believes the power of sounds and aims to bring ripple effects inside a space that triggers discussion, planning, engagements among the communities.

This project shows my audio research journey at Rhyl, Wales. The research outcomes are presented through two interactive aspects, an online sound database and an audio feng shui detector. The AFS-II Detector shown here discovers and detects different sound waves - the collected soundscapes could contribute to the ‘ideal’ town planning system.
